The 2017 MTSF Grant Research Symposium was recently held on 8 December 2017 at the High Impact Research (HIR) of University of Malaya where 13 MTSF grantees presented their research findings. The annual symposium is a prerequisite condition of the Research Grant Program where all MTSF grantees, who have completed their research study share their results and findings.
The Symposium was officiated by Tan Sri Prof. Emeritus Dr. Augustine Ong, the Chairman of the MTSF Selection Committee. The panelist members who evaluated the report sessions included members of the Selection Committee and invited academicians, namely Dr. Ho Chee Cheong, Professor Dr. Mohd Ali Hashim, Professor Dr. Kurunathan A/L Ratnavelu and Academician Dr. Yong Hoi Sen. Some 150 participants, comprising young researchers, lecturers and students from various universities and institutions who attended the half-day event gained much knowledge and experiences from the researchers.
Beside the research sharing session, the participants and undergraduates present were also briefed on the coming 2018 MTSF programs. MTSF hopes that this annual grant symposium will further help to enhance and advance the development of Science and Technology in Malaysia.
