To help promote science and technology for a sustainable future in Malaysia, Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) recently participated in the KLESF 2018, held from 2nd to 4th November 2018 at Kuala Lumpur.
For the exhibition proper, MTSF invited two Science Education Award past winners, Ms Sia Peng Yee from SMJK Seg Hwa, Johor and Ms Tan Mun Wai from Institut Pendidikan Guru, Kampus Pendidikan Teknik, Negeri Sembilan to showcase their winning projects. MTSF’s booth attracted enthusiastic interests from both the students and parents, who were among the 60,000 visitors to the 3-days science fair.
Besides the 500 exhibitions booths put forward by the respective schools, universities, institutions, agencies, NGOs and industries, including participants from Cambodia, Philippines, Thailand and Indonesia, there were many hands-on activities, educational talks, workshops and science competitions for the visitors to participate.
The KLESF 2018 was officiated by Datin Paduka Ir. Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir, Director General Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Higher Education, who later stopped by to specially thanked MTSF for playing significant roles in advancing science & technology in Malaysia.
