Amidst the Covid-19 restrictions where physical roadshows are not encouraged, MTSF successfully conducted two virtual roadshows for Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang (USM) and Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Terengganu (UMT). The two roadshows were specifically conducted to further promote the MTSF "Science & Technology Award" and "Science & Technology Research Grant" programs.

For the roadshow conducted on 22nd March 2022, some 113 scientists, young researchers and postgraduate students from USM attended. It was chaired by Prof. Dr. Zainovia Lockman, Director Research Creativity & Management Office (RCMO), while the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Abdul Rahman delivered the welcoming address.

The roadshow at UMT, held on 30th March 2022, was hosted and chaired by Prof. Dr. Tengku Sifizizul Tengku Muhammad, Director of Research Management Office. Some 40 young researchers and postgraduates attended.

On hand to answer the many queries at the two sessions was Academician Professor Emeritus Dr. Yong Hoi Sen, Board Member & Deputy Chairman of the Selection Committee, with the support of the secretariat staff of MTSF. Both the sessions were very lively and fruitful as many questions put forth were satisfactorily answered.

MTSF is hopeful that more scientists and researchers from these two universities will benefit from MTSF programmes. More participations are expected in 2022 and the years to come.
