Collaborated with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), MTSF successfully conducted a promotional roadshow on "Science & Technology Award" and "Science & Technology Research Grant" at the UTAR campus at Kampar. The roadshow, held on 16th February 2023 attracted some 44 participants including those coming from neighbouring universities namely UTP and UPSI.
Led by YBhg. Academician Tan Sri Emeritus Professor Datuk Dr. Augustine S.H.Ong, Board member and Chairman of the MTSF Selection Committee, MTSF delegation was warmly welcomed at UTAR by its Vice President, Prof. Dr. Choong Chee Keong.
During the one and half hour session, the participants were briefed on the objectives, application criteria and expectations of the two MTSF programs. The Q&A sessions were very lively and fruitful which was satisfactorily answered by Dato' K.K. Hun, Senior Consultant of Toray Group (Malaysia). MTSF hopes that the young researchers and postgraduates have benefitted and look forward to more submissions from these universities.
After the Roadshow, MTSF team was guided to a tour of UTAR Hospital by Prof. Dr. Choong. The new hospital is equipped to provide variable medical care and services, including Western Medicine and Traditional and Complementary Medicine such as Chinese, Ayurvedic, and Traditional Malay Medicines. The visit ended with a sumptuous lunch hosted by UTAR Council Member Mr. Hew Fen Yee.
