It is my pleasure
to extend my greetings on the occasion of the 16th Prize
Presentation Ceremony of Malaysia Toray Science Foundation
(MTSF).
Let me congratulate
all those who will receive the awards and grants by MTSF for
their outstanding achievements.
I understand that
MTSF has been founded based upon an important concept of
corporate social responsibility to contribute to society through
promotion of new ideas and values in scientific researches.
Since MTSF was established in 1993, I am certain that many new
ideas and values have been nurtured. I would like to highly
commend Toray Industries, Inc. and its Malaysian subsidiaries
for their efforts in committing themselves to the development of
science and technology of Malaysia.
Malaysia and Japan
have developed strong and dynamic relations for over 50 years. I
am delighted to see active participation by Toray Industries,
Inc. and its Malaysian subsidiaries in promoting not only
science and technology, but also mutual understanding and
friendship between the peoples of Malaysia and Japan. I wish
MTSF will continue to support excellence in scientific pursuits
for many years to come.
Once again, I would
like to express my high regards to the recipients for their
achievements and wish them success in their future research and
education.
