Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) conducted its Board of Directors’ and Annual General Meetings on the 19th September 2017, having successfully completed its annual activities for the financial year ended March 2017. The meetings were presided by MTSF Chairman Tan Sri Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman, in the presence of MTSF Managing Director Mr. M. Kawamura, board members, auditor KPMG and secretariat staffs of the Foundation.
At the Board meeting, Mr. M. Kawamura presented the various MTSF promotional activities and programs successfully carried out in 2016/2017, including the planned agenda for the coming year 2017/2018. Later at the AGM, the routine business agendas namely “Audited financial statements” and “Re-elections of directors and Auditor” were unanimously adopted and passed.
On behalf of Toray, Mr. Kawamura thanked the MTSF Chairman and Board members for their selfless efforts in driving MTSF forward, for the betterment and development of Science and Technology in Malaysia. After the meetings, a dinner reception was held where members of the MTSF Selection and Examination Committees also participated.
