The MTSF 2018 Grant Research Symposium was held on the 30th November 2018 at Faculty of Science of University of Malaya where 16 MTSF past grantees presented their reports. The annual symposium is a prerequisite condition of the MTSF Research Grant Program where all grantees, who have completed their research study, shared their research results and findings.
Officiated by Tan Sri Prof. Emeritus Dr. Augustine Ong, the Chairman of the MTSF Selection Committee, the 150 participants included young researchers, lecturers and students from the various universities and institutions. Among the panelists who evaluated the report sessions included Academician Dr. Yong Hoi Sen, Professor Dr. Mohd Ali Hashim, Academician Professor Emeritus Dato’ Dr. Lam Sai Kit and Academician Dr. Ho Chee Cheong.
Besides gaining much knowledge and experiences from the researchers, the participants and undergraduates present were also briefed on the coming 2019 MTSF programs. Judging from the enthusiastic response and queries from the audience, the MTSF annual grant symposium has certainly helped to enhance and advance the development of Science and Technology in Malaysia.
