Concluding yet another successful annual program for the financial year ended March 2019, Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) conducted its Board of Directors and Annual General Meetings on the 17th September 2019 at Kuala Lumpur.
The meetings was presided by MTSF Chairman Tan Sri Dr. Omar Abdul Rahman, with the attendance of the Managing Director Mr. Teh Hock Soon. Other board members present include Tan Sri Dr. Augustine Ong, Tan Sri Dr Syed Jalaludin, Dr. Yong Hoi Sen and Yang Mulia Tengku Mohd. Azzman Shariffadeen. The Board also welcomed Mr. Hirokazu Kurome, Deputy Representative of Toray Group (Malaysia) cum Managing Director of Penfibre Sdn. Berhad who attend the meeting for the first time.
Besides the general business agenda, including the financial statement that were tabled and passed unanimously, members present were active in giving their views and opinion to improve the MTSF programs. On behalf of Toray, Mr. Teh expressed his sincere thanks and gratitude to the Chairman and Board of Directors for their untiring support in bringing MTSF to greater heights, well recognised as a premier charitable science foundation in Malaysia.
The meetings concluded with a dinner gathering, where the other members of the two MTSF Selection and Examination Committees also participated.
