The MTSF Grant Research Symposium for year 2019 was successfully held on 26th November 2019 at University of Malaya, where some 16 MTSF past grantees presented their final reports. The annual symposium is a prerequisite condition of the MTSF Research Grant Program where all MTSF grantees, who have completed their research projects shared their research results and findings.
The half-day Symposium was officiated by Tan Sri Prof. Emeritus Dr. Augustine Ong, the Chairman of the MTSF Selection Committee. Among the panel evaluators who presided the reporting sessions included Academician Dr. Yong Hoi Sen, Ir. Academician Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Dato’ Dr. Chuah Hean Teik, Professor Emeritus Ir. Dr. Mohd Ali Hashim, Dr. Kurunathan A/L Ratnavelu and Academician Dr. Ho Chee Cheong.
The symposium attracted some 150 participants, including young researchers, lecturers and students from various universities and institutions in and around Kuala Lumpur. Judging from the enthusiastic response and queries from the audience, the MTSF annual grant symposium has certainly helped to enhance and advance the development of Science and Technology in Malaysia.
