To further promote the MTSF Science Education Award (SEA) program among science teachers nationwide and taking consideration the prevailing traveling restrictions, MTSF Secretariat conducted a series of 4 roadshows, virtually for the northern states of Perak, Kedah, Perlis and Penang in March 2022

Overall, the responses towards the four MTSF SEA roadshows, held respectively on the 8th, 21st, 29th and 30th March 2022 for Perlis, Kedah, Perak and Penang were very encouraging. A total of 403 educational officers and teachers enthusiastically took part in the 4 virtual roadshows.

Besides introducing the MTSF's objectives, activities and programs via video and slide presentations, MTSF Secretariat also invited two of its previous SEA winners, Mr Muhammad Hafiezul Hafizz Bin Hussin and Ms Norfazilah Binti Mohamad Yusuf, to present their winning projects and shared their expertise and application experience. The Deputy Chairman of the MTSF SEA Examination Committee, Dato’ Dr. R. Ratnalingam was in attendance to answer the queries raised by the participants.

The MTSF is grateful for the assistance provided by Ministry of Education and the respective State Education Departments in making the roadshows a success. MTSF is hopeful that more science teachers will take part in the MTSF 29th programs for the year 2022. Going forward, MTSF will continue to work with the stakeholders to promote better and effective science education in Malaysian secondary schools nationwide.
